Speaker of the Arizona House Ben Toma has announced new appointments to the Republican leadership team, strengthening the staff with individuals who have extensive experience in policy, law, and government.
Kelsey Jahntz has been promoted to Deputy Chief of Staff after returning earlier this year as Director of Policy. She brings over ten years of experience in policy, management, and budgeting within the Legislature, Governor’s Office, and private consulting. Her work includes shaping education, workforce, and fiscal initiatives that support conservative governance.
Robyn Poole joins as General Counsel with more than a decade of legal experience in state and municipal government as well as the private sector. Her background includes positions at the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Arizona Corporation Commission, City of Phoenix, and clerking for the Arizona Court of Appeals. In her new role she will advise on legal matters, oversee legislative investigations, manage outside counsel, and ensure compliance with legal standards.
Daniel Tilleman comes from Holtzman Vogel law firm where he focused on appellate and constitutional law. He previously clerked at the Arizona Supreme Court and worked as a litigation attorney in Phoenix. Tilleman will provide legal analysis for the Committee on Federalism, Military Affairs & Elections.

Daniel’s background in constitutional and appellate law adds depth to our legal team and reinforces our commitment to principled, effective governance. Together, they make our Majority staff one of the most capable and effective teams ever assembled at the State Capitol.”
Michael Carbone was elected as a Republican representative for Arizona’s 25th House District in 2023 following Michelle Udall’s tenure.
