On Friday, March 13, Zaveion Bineyard, a former Verrado High School star, saw his collegiate squad, the Humboldt State Lumberjacks, fall 64-83 to the Cal State East Bay Pioneers in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The contest began at 7:30 p.m. at Pioneer Gymnasium and marked the teams’ first tournament meeting.
