Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, a U.S. Congressman who won reelection in 2024 by defeating Quacy Smith with 65.3% of the vote, has recently posted several statements on his official X (formerly Twitter) account addressing issues ranging from biomedical research to public safety and government funding.

On September 15, 2025, Gosar expressed support for ending federal funding for research using aborted fetal tissue. He wrote, “As a proud cosponsor of legislation to end taxpayer-funded research using aborted fetal tissue, I’m grateful to the Trump Administration for upholding the sanctity of life & bringing this immoral practice to an end. Thank you to @WhiteCoatWaste for exposing Biden-era funding for”.

Three days later, on September 18, 2025, Gosar commented on public safety in Washington D.C., stating: “Failed leadership, soft-on-crime policies, and rampant corruption has left D.C. more dangerous than war-torn Baghdad.”

Later that same day, he referenced ongoing political disputes over government funding with a brief statement: “Queue the Schumer Shutdown.”

Paul Gosar has been a prominent figure in Arizona politics and secured his seat in Congress multiple times; in addition to his 2024 victory over Quacy Smith, he also defeated Richard Grayson in the 2022 general election with nearly 98% of the vote.
