Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 9th district, addressed several legislative and oversight issues in a series of tweets posted on May 13 and 14, 2026.

On May 13, Gosar wrote: “Today, I questioned Sec. Burgum about my LASSO Act, legislation that strengthens Social Security while promoting responsible multiple-use of our public lands. The bill supports American energy dominance without expanding development or raising fees. I also thanked him for https://t.co/n47w4tsRtP”.

The following day, he posted a direct accusation regarding the handling of the COVID-19 pandemic: “Fauci lied. People died.”.

Later on May 14, Gosar detailed his concerns about research activities at a federal laboratory: “This Jan, I wrote to @NIH @NIHDirector_Jay with @SenJoniErnst w/concerns about the Rocky Mountain Lab’s bat research w/viruses like Ebola & its ties 2 Wuhan and EcoHealth Alliance. Unfortunately, he defended it. This explosive whistleblower report from my friends at https://t.co/MTruouHp8H”.

Paul Gosar has represented Arizona’s 9th District since 2011 after replacing Ann Kirkpatrick as U.S Congress member that year.[source] He was re-elected in both the 2022 and 2024 general elections by significant margins.[2022 results][2024 results] Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958 and now residing in Bullhead City, Gosar graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1981.
