Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 9th district since 2011, recently posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account addressing congressional accountability, party politics, and Washington, D.C.

On April 14, 2026, Gosar wrote: “Time for Congress to Stop Wasteful Allowances for Lawmaker Wrongdoing and Ensuring Legal Liability!” The following day, on April 15, he stated: “Correction: Democrats are the party of illegal aliens. https://t.co/P0gU8L8Sc9” On April 17, Gosar commented on late-night activity in the nation’s capital with the post: “Nothing good ever happens after midnight in Washington, D.C.”

Paul Gosar has maintained his seat in Congress through several election cycles. In 2024, he defeated Quacy Smith with 65.3% of the vote to Smith’s 34.7%. In the previous general election in 2022, Gosar won against Richard Grayson by a significant margin as well.

Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958 and currently residing in Bullhead City, Gosar holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Creighton University (1981). He succeeded Ann Kirkpatrick when he first took office in Congress.
