Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 9th district since 2011, recently posted on his Twitter account expressing criticism of Democratic Party policies and concerns about immigration enforcement.

On February 19, 2026, Gosar questioned the requirements for attending the Democratic National Convention compared to voting regulations: “Wait, You need a photo ID to attend the Dems’ convention but not to vote? Such hypocrisy. If it’s required to clap for party elites, it should definitely be required to cast a ballot. Why are Dems more worried about protecting their convention than protecting American elections?”

Three days later, on February 22, 2026, he commented on an arrest in Phoenix involving an undocumented immigrant: “Marenn Sorm, is another an illegal arrested in PHX. His criminal history incl homicide, aggravated assault, child cruelty, DUI & disorderly conduct. All while Dems play games by refusing to fund ICE & turning a blind eye to the agency tasked w/removing creeps like this from our” In a subsequent tweet that same day he shared a link without additional commentary: “https://t.co/6nlDaXYhvq”

Paul Gosar was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958 and currently resides in Bullhead City. He graduated from Creighton University with a BS in 1981. Gosar has maintained his seat through several election cycles; most recently in 2024 he defeated Quacy Smith with over sixty-five percent of the vote and previously won against Richard Grayson in 2022 by more than ninety-seven percent.
