Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 9th district since 2011, has recently used his social media platform to criticize congressional Democrats for delays and disruptions at airports.

On March 17, 2026, Gosar posted: “Next time your flight’s delayed or canceled, or if you’re stuck in an endless TSA line, thank a congressional Democrat. https://t.co/Sz9jIGO5Eq”.

Later that day, he followed up with another statement: “Yet, they all manage to easily obtain an ID card to go to Costco, the gym and present at TSA checkpoints…err wait, they are stuck in long lines at airports because you shut the gov’t down. https://t.co/FUNMeI53pd” (March 17, 2026).

On March 18, 2026, Gosar cited remarks from another lawmaker: “Democrat Congressman Beyer says the quiet part out loud: ‘It’s not forcing any change. In the meantime, [Democrats] are making people hurt. The long lines, that can’t make [Democrats] more popular.’ https://t.co/0Zhydg1m8y”.

Paul Gosar has held his seat in Congress since replacing Ann Kirkpatrick in 2011 and currently resides in Bullhead City. He was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958 and graduated from Creighton University with a BS in 1981. In recent elections, Gosar won re-election by significant margins—defeating Quacy Smith in 2024 with over 65% of the vote and Richard Grayson in 2022 with nearly 98%.
