Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, a U.S. Congressman who secured re-election in 2024 by defeating Quacy Smith with 65.3% of the vote, posted a series of tweets on September 21 and 22, 2025, expressing personal reflections and gratitude regarding federal research initiatives.
On September 21, Gosar wrote: “Not a dry eye.” The following day, he shared another message: “Replaying this over and over today. https://t.co/L7Yb4vNilg” Later on September 22, he addressed national leadership directly: “Thank you @POTUS and @SecKennedy for prioritizing federal research into the rising prevalence of autism spectrum disorder. The increase we have witnessed in recent years demands careful study so that we can identify contributing factors and improve early detection.”
Paul Gosar has maintained a strong electoral presence in Arizona’s congressional races. In addition to his 2024 victory over Quacy Smith, he previously won the 2022 general election against Richard Grayson with an overwhelming majority of nearly 98%. These results underscore his continued support among constituents.
The congressman’s latest remarks come amid growing attention to autism spectrum disorder in the United States and calls for expanded federal research to address its increasing prevalence.
