Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for Arizona’s 9th district, used his social media platform to announce recent legislative actions and positions on April 29 and April 30, 2026.

On April 29, Gosar posted: “I voted NO.” On the same day, he stated: “It’s time to end the OPT Program. My bill, HR 2315, does that!” The following day, Gosar highlighted amendments he sponsored in agricultural legislation: “Thrilled that both of my amendments restricting USDA funding for animal research conducted in adversarial nations like China and Russia and restricting USDA funding for the most painful research on dogs and cats were included in the FARM Bill that passed today.”

Paul Gosar has represented Arizona’s 9th District since 2011 after succeeding Ann Kirkpatrick. He was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958 and currently resides in Bullhead City. Gosar graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1981. In recent elections, he won against Quacy Smith in 2024 with over 65% of the vote and previously defeated Richard Grayson in 2022 by a significant margin.
