Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 9th district since 2011, recently posted a series of statements on his social media account addressing key legislative issues and ongoing political debates.
On March 16, 2026, Gosar commented on the debate surrounding citizenship verification in voting laws: “If further proof was needed that SAVE America Act is necessary, look no further than Schumer calling citizenship verification “Jim Crow.” When Dems can’t defend letting noncitizens slip onto the voter rolls, they reach for their favorite play: the racism card.”
Later that day, he referenced a federal court decision regarding a land development project in Arizona: “The Ninth Circuit has reaffirmed what Congress already decided: the land exchange must move forward. This project was authorized by Congress over a decade ago, and the courts have now rejected another attempt to block it. On March 17, 2026, Gosar discussed his proposed legislation related to Social Security funding: “My legislation, the LASSO Act, would direct 10% of revenues generated from all public lands activities into accounts that fund retirement and survivors’ benefits in the Social Security system. Paul Gosar has held his congressional seat since replacing Ann Kirkpatrick in 2011 and has maintained strong electoral support in recent years—defeating Quacy Smith with over 65% of votes in the 2024 general election and Richard Grayson with nearly 98% of votes in the 2022 race. Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958 and currently residing in Bullhead City, Gosar graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1981.
