Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, a U.S. Congressman representing Arizona’s 9th district since 2011, has recently reiterated his stance on the Senate filibuster and legislative delays through a series of posts on social media.

On March 24, 2026, Gosar posted: “GOP Senate dodges talking filibuster over “unlimited amendments,” now backs reconciliation… same result. New excuse, same stall. Pass SAVE America Act now. Nuke the filibuster.” On March 26, he followed up with another post: “Nuke the filibuster “. Later that day, he added a brief affirmation: “Amen!”

Paul Gosar has been an advocate for significant changes to Senate procedures, particularly targeting the filibuster—a longstanding rule requiring a supermajority to advance most legislation in the U.S. Senate. Calls to eliminate or reform the filibuster have increased in recent years as legislative gridlock persists.

Gosar has maintained a strong electoral record in Arizona’s 9th district. In 2024, he defeated Quacy Smith with 65.3% of the vote and previously won against Richard Grayson in 2022 with nearly 98% of votes cast. Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958 and currently residing in Bullhead City, Gosar graduated from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1981.
