Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing Arizona’s 9th district, announced via Twitter on April 30 and May 1, 2026, his support for amendments benefiting Arizona farmers and ranchers as well as a move to end taxpayer-funded animal experiments.
On April 30, Gosar posted: “Proud 2 vote 4 the FARM Bill that included my amendment #15 to stand up 4 AZ farmers. The Colorado River is our lifeline & when water commitments aren’t met, our producers pay the price. My amendment ensures we have the tools & accountability to support those impacted.” He followed with another post on the same day stating: “Proud 2 vote 4 the Farm Bill that included my amendment #16 restoring fairness for AZ ranchers. Outdated federal standards made it nearly impossible 2 prove livestock losses from Mexican wolves. My amendment brings back commonsense rules so ranchers aren’t denied compensation.”
On May 1, Gosar shared news regarding animal welfare and fiscal responsibility: “Great news for accountability and compassion. Proud to stand with @WhiteCoatWaste in ending wasteful taxpayer-funded animal experiments – protecting pets, defending taxpayers and keeping sensitive research dollars out of the wrong hands.”
Paul Gosar has represented Arizona’s 9th District since replacing Ann Kirkpatrick in Congress in 2011. Born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958 and now residing in Bullhead City, he holds a BS from Creighton University (1981). In recent elections, Gosar won against Quacy Smith in the 2024 general election by a margin of more than thirty points and defeated Richard Grayson overwhelmingly in 2022.
