Rep. Paul Gosar, DDS, currently serving as the U.S. Congressman for Arizona’s 9th district, posted a series of tweets on February 22, 2026, expressing support for Team USA during an ice hockey match.

In his first tweet at 15:33 UTC, Gosar wrote: “OT! Next goal wins. GO TEAM USA!!!!” Later, at 15:53 UTC, he celebrated with another post stating: “GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! USA USA USA “ Following the game, Gosar referenced a standout player and joked about his own dental background in a tweet at 16:22 UTC: “After lighting up the ice like that, Jack Hughes might need a little “goal-den” dental work Good thing this dentist is offering a free checkup for those front two MVPs! https://t.co/xeEJBhasCS”

Paul Gosar has represented Arizona’s 9th District in Congress since 2011 after replacing Ann Kirkpatrick. He was born in Rock Springs, Wyoming in 1958 and resides in Bullhead City. In recent elections, he defeated Quacy Smith in 2024 with over 65% of the vote and Richard Grayson in 2022 with nearly 98%. Gosar earned his BS from Creighton University in 1981.
