City of Avondale recently issued the following announcement.
Child and Babysitter Safety Training

Location: Avondale Fire Station 172 1825 N. 107th Ave Avondale, Arizona 85392
Introduction:Know a teen who is interested in becoming a babysitter?
This training is available to teens aged 12-17. Teens learn basic childcare techniques, CPR and AED use, basic first aid, how to use a fire extinguisher and more. Teens learn life saving skills and build their confidence in looking after kids. Class size is limited to 25 and registration is required. The cost of the class is $25.00 for Avondale residents, $30.00 for non-residents. The class will take place in the upstairs training room and lunch will be provided. Upon successful completion of the training, students will receive certification through the American Safety and Health Institute.
