State Treasurer pays an average compensation of $76,051 during 2018

The State Treasurer paid an average compensation of $76,051 during 2018, according to data compiled by The Arizona Republic. Arizona public employees as a whole averaged 22 percent less with a compensation of $59,597. Total compensation is made up of an employee's annual salary with the addition of any overtime pay earned throughout the year.

The highest-paid public employee working for the State Treasurer—Timothy White—earned $140,681.

When calculating average compensation, only employees categorized as full time were included.
