Arizona Supreme Court pays an average compensation of $63,542 during 2018

The Arizona Supreme Court paid an average compensation of $63,542 during 2018, according to data compiled by The Arizona Republic. Arizona public employees as a whole averaged 7 percent less with a compensation of $59,597. Total compensation is made up of an employee's annual salary with the addition of any overtime pay earned throughout the year.

The highest-paid public employee working for the Arizona Supreme Court—David Byers—earned $172,721.

When calculating average compensation, only employees categorized as full time were included.
