Culver's restaurant opened recently in the City of Goodyear, a plan that has been in the works for quite some time, Owner Greg Landon told the city in a press release.
"I planned it for five years. Mayor Lord has invited me over and over again, and we finally made it happen," Landon said in a release. "It's a great community, and since I moved here in 2010, it's exploded."
The new 6,300-square-foot restaurant has additional space for a meeting room with a conference-sized table and sliding glass doors to dampen the noise from the rest of the restaurant.
Landon, who already owns four Culver's locations, including two in the West Valley, said they want to be connected to the community. Culver's has already done some good in Goodyear, raising money for Future Farmers of America and local schools.
"Culver's is a locally, family-owned business," Landon said. "Everyone is a franchise, and Craig Culver allows us to be community-oriented, and we try to get involved."
Culver's is located at 130 N Estrella Pkwy opened Monday, July 27. They are following CDC-recommended COVID-19 guidelines and Gov. Doug Ducey's order for restaurants to limit dine-in capacity to 50%.
