City of Avondale issued the following announcement on Nov. 24
Avondale Parks & Recreation Department will be hosting “Holiday Cheer” Home Decorating Contest, on December 22.
The best decorated houses in Avondale will be judged for the winter holidays. City Staff will serve as judges and drive through the community to determine the winners. The contest starts at 6:00 p.m.
The contest is free and open to all residents in Avondale. The winning household will get the bragging rights for Best Decorated, and a free voucher for a ramada rental at one of our city parks. Best entries may be shared on the City’s social media platforms. Registration for participation ends December 20, 2020.
Judges will be practicing Covid-19 safe protocols when viewing the houses. Social distancing measures will be in place, please #MaskUp.
