City of Douglas issued the following announcement on Aug. 18.
On July 29, 2021 the Arizona Department of Corrections allowed the City to receive inmate crews to be placed under the City’s work program. The City was authorized to receive 20 total inmates and will be working mostly in the Parks and Streets Divisions.
Only inmates that are fully vaccinated are allowed to work outside of their facility. All City of Douglas staff have been properly trained on safety policies.
