There were 446 students enrolled in Palo Verde Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.4% less than the 448 in the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.7% of them were boys, and 47.3% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were Latino, representing 67.9% of the Palo Verde Elementary District total enrollment.

Palo Verde Elementary District roughly covers schools within Maricopa County and has a main office in Palo Verde.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students’ school performance.
