Littleton Elementary District Education: 5,873 Students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 5,873 students enrolled in Littleton Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3.8% more than the 5,658 in the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Out of the total students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52% of them were boys, and 48% were girls.

Data also showed that most of the students were Latino, representing 78.1% of the Littleton Elementary District total enrollment.

Littleton Elementary District roughly covers schools within Maricopa County and has a main office in Cashion.

Among the eight schools in Littleton Elementary District, Country Place Elementary recorded the highest enrollment of 936 students in the 2022-23 school year.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students’ school performance.

A 2023 study from Scholaroo.com ranked Arizona last out of all U.S. states in terms of educational success, giving the state poor marks for school quality, student success, and teacher-to-student ratio.
