There were 34 Asian students enrolled in Buckeye Elementary District schools in the 2022-23 school year, 3% more than the previous year, according to the Arizona Department of Education.

Data showed that Buckeye Elementary District welcomed 5,708 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Asian students comprised 0.6% of the student body to be the second least represented ethnicity in the district.

Buckeye Elementary District roughly covers schools within Maricopa County and has a main office in Buckeye.

Each of the eight schools in Buckeye Elementary District enrolled less than 10 Asian students in 2022-23 school year.

In 2022 Arizona had roughly one teacher for every 19 students, compared to the national average of one teacher for 16 students. Teachers handling a higher number of students was found to have negative consequences for students’ school performance.
