Data released from the U.S. Census Bureau shows that Buckeye, Arizona, is the second fastest growing city in the U.S., with its population having increased by 56.6% since 2010.
Buckeye is second to Frisco, Texas, as the fastest growing city, according to Grow Buckeye.
“It’s no surprise Buckeye remains one of the fastest growing cities,” Buckeye Mayor Jackie Meck told Grow Buckeye. “Our residents enjoy an excellent quality of life, while providing exceptional value for business opportunities.”
City officials expect Buckeye's population to continue to grow within the next few years, remaining one of the fastest growing cities in the nation, according to Grow Buckeye. The city is also planning on developing more than 640 square miles.
“The city continues to focus on attracting advanced manufacturing, energy and logistics/distribution companies to Buckeye," David Roderique, Buckeye's economic development director, told Grow Buckeye. "We’re a multi-modal community strategically located to offer efficient, cost-effective transportation options to connect customers with their products.”
