Beginning March 15, the southbound portion of Dysart Road crossing the railroad tracks will be closed to traffic to facilitate the ongoing construction related to the Dysart Road Sewer Project.
The City of Avondale is making progress on the Dysart Road Sewer Improvement Project, which started in February. The project is now entering its next phase: the jack and bore, a trenchless method of sewer construction installation, under the railroad crossing on Dysart Road, just north of MC85.
Southbound traffic will be diverted to westbound Western Ave, continuing west to Central Avenue, where traffic can turn south and cross the railroad on southbound Central Avenue. Construction of the jack and bore is expected to continue through June 6.
Drivers are urged to remain aware of their surroundings and exercise caution when driving near construction sites. Expect traffic delays in the immediate area during the construction of the jack and bore. Please call 602-532-6250 at any time with your project questions or concerns, more details can also be found at www.avondaleconnect.org.
