CITY OF BUCKEYE: Buckeye’s Summer Reading Program launches June 1

City of Buckeye issued the following announcement on May 27

Enter a world of endless adventures as you “Imagine Your Story” during Buckeye’s Summer Reading Program, June 1 to July 31 at either library location or the Roadrunner Bookmobile. 

Although slightly modified this year, the Summer Reading Program still offers a variety of ways to continue reading, learning and having fun earning points towards great prizes including a free book and rewards from local, participating restaurants. 

Participants can pick up a “Grab and Go” Summer Reading Kit, which includes eight weeks of fun family activities to earn points with: 

  • STEAM based activities
  • Recommended reading lists for all ages
  • Links and resources
  • Free children’s book
To earn points, just register and log your points at read20az.com.

Grab and Go kits are available June 1 at both libraries through the library’s “No Contact” pickup service, Monday thru Friday, 8 to 10 a.m. and at scheduled Roadrunner Bookmobile stops. Just pick one up, register and start reading! 

The “Imagine Your Story” Summer Reading Program is a collaborative effort by the Friends of the Buckeye Public Library, the Arizona State Library and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
