Representative Paul A. Gosar of Arizona has declared his support for the No Rogue Rulings Act by voting in favor of House Bill H.R. 1526. This legislation seeks to limit what Gosar describes as the power of "woke, activist federal district court judges" who have impeded President Trump's policy agenda.
Gosar expressed his concern about judicial overreach, suggesting that "Democrats have turned to liberal, woke activist judges" as an alternative to securing electoral wins. He argues that President Trump's efforts to address and reduce governmental waste are being obstructed by these judges who act in defense of the federal bureaucracies.
In his statement, Gosar highlighted that these "unelected rogue judges" often align with Democratic interests in Congress, thereby undermining democratic principles and delaying reforms aimed at improving government efficiency. He stressed that the judicial actions are compromising President Trump's authority to implement his policies.
Gosar emphasized the importance of the constitutional framework, which sets checks and balances between branches of government. He stated that some judges, by using political judgment, "exceed their mandate," and this, according to him, impedes President Trump's governing capabilities.
By supporting the No Rogue Rulings Act, Gosar seeks to ensure that judicial decisions are specific and do not broadly interfere with executive policies. He believes that "activist federal judges should not be the arbiter of policy issues" that should be handled by the legislative or executive branches. The Act, as he noted, would "stop rogue federal judges from stalling President Trump's agenda."
