City of Avondale issued the following announcement on Dec. 22.
The following changes in City of Avondale operations will take place in observance of the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays.
City facilities, including City Hall, City Court, Avondale Public Libraries, the Avondale Resource Center, along with administrative offices at Public Works and Public Safety, will be closed in observance of the upcoming holidays for the following dates:
Friday, December 24, 2021 (Christmas Eve)
Saturday, December 25, 2021 (Christmas Day)
Sunday, December 26, 2021
Monday, December 27, 2021
Saturday, January 1, 2022 (New Year’s Day)
Christmas and New Year’s Day are on Saturday this year. Sanitation Service Days WILL NOT CHANGE. Trash, Recycling and Bulk Trash pickup will occur on your normal service day.
The Zoom circulator will be running service on holidays, but modified hours on some dates. There will be no transit Express and RAPID services on the observed holidays. For complete transit schedules visit www.valleymetro.org.
