The city of Goodyear’s Digital Communications team was recently awarded a Silver Circle Award at 3CMA’s (City-County Communications) annual conference for its Can’t Touch This video! The video was produced entirely in-house by city staff and was promoted in the summer of 2021 to draw attention to the Phoenix Suns going to the NBA playoffs, engage our community and showcase our support to #RallytheValley. The category for this award was “Most Creative with Least Dollars Spent.”
Comments from the judges included:

The video was one of the most popular videos the team produced in 2021. The Facebook post reached nearly 75,000 people, was shared 354 times and had 320 comments. Additionally, the Phoenix Suns, who by all accounts were very busy during the playoffs, retweeted the video to its 1.5 million followers.
