On Saturday 1.21.2023 the CCSOSAR team and members of the National Park Service participated in some great tracking training with instructor and SAR Coordinator Marty Allred.
Participants were able to determine age, direction of travel and much more. Age of the trail, size, shape, and pattern are the five requirements needed for tracking. not all five might be present, however knowing how long the person had been missing, the age of the trail is very important.
